495 City Stars U18 (08,09,10)
The 495 City Stars are a city-focused, split-season U18 program designed to provide accessible, high-level player development and competitive opportunities for advanced players preparing for junior, prep, and collegiate pathways. Emphasizing high-tempo practices, skill refinement, and situational play, the program operates in a structured, competitive environment prior to the high school season.
Practices begin in the final week of August, with the season concluding before Thanksgiving. The team will compete in 12 PHL league games and participate in one showcase, while limiting extensive travel to support a healthy student-athlete balance.
Home games and practices will be held throughout Boston and the surrounding area, reinforcing the program’s commitment to a true city-based hockey experience.
Ages
- U18 (Ages 16–18): Designed for advanced players preparing for junior, prep, and collegiate pathways. The U18 program emphasizes high-tempo practices, skill refinement, and situational play in a structured, competitive environment.
When
Practices will begin the last week of August, with the final game scheduled to be played prior to Thanksgiving.
Where
Three home games will be played at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, with an additional three home games hosted in various neighborhoods throughout Boston. Practices will be held at multiple city rinks, including Everett, Cleveland Circle, the North End, and Walter Brown.
This team is intentionally city-focused and will take pride in competing and training throughout Boston, providing players with a unique, urban hockey experience.
Practices
The program will offer 2–3 practices per week, instructed by guest coaches from NCAA, ACHA, and New England prep school programs.
Games
The team will compete in 12 PHL league games and participate in one showcase event.
Jerseys
Jerseys and socks will be provided. Players will retain their socks at the conclusion of the season.
